Student Leadership

At The Castle Rock School we empower our students not only to attain academic excellence but also help them to develop a range of transferable skills.

We have an open-door policy when it comes to student voice, and students in the school feel safe and confident to voice their opinions about all school matters, to the relevant members of staff, at any time.

We strongly believe that students should be given a wide range of opportunities to learn and implement leadership skills and feel safe and confident expressing their views in order to prepare them for life beyond school.

Aims of Student Leadership:

  • To empower students to work in partnership with staff and the wider community to implement The Castle Rock School’s vision
  • For students to undertake project management overseeing the life cycle of a project or event from conception to evaluation
  • To prepare students for Higher Education and the world of work, through achieving personal and professional excellence in life after formal education.
